In brief, you should know the following about us: The Salem Main Street Effort began in late 1999, has involved hundreds of volunteers who care about Salem's future and has ultimately resulted in a mind boggling 40 million dollars in mostly private investment in the center of Salem. Our non profit program is volunteer based and modeled after the national Main Street approach to downtown revitalization.
